This week on LOTW, Becky Christoffersen and Bevy Day discuss the murder of Sara Tokars.
In 1992, two young children run up to a stranger's house covered in blood, panicked, and asking the residents to help their mom. The police are called and a search for the young children's mother ensues. The detectives eventually find "the mom," her name was Sara Tokars, she was found nearby in a parked car a couple of blocks away. She had been shot in point blank range and was deceased. Luckily, the police are able to acquire a detailed account of the night that Sara Tokars died, but not from the source that they would have expected. Tragically, the detectives star witness just so happened to be Sara's six-year-old son, Ricky Tokars, who not only saw his mother get murdered in front of him but was unfortunately in the back seat of the car when it happened.
